REPORT

     

 

Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan College of Teacher Education Kallekkad, Palakkad, department of Mathematics and IQAC Bhartheeya Vidya Niketan College of teacher education jointly Organized 2 day National Seminar on the topic "Anantham Vishwathomukham, Glimpses of Vedic Mathematics "on 28th&29th February 2020.

Seminar was inaugurated by Pro. (Dr.) G. Gopa Kumar, Vice Chancellor Central University, Kerala. Dr. P. K Madhavan chaired the function. Principal Dr. P. C. V Renuka has given welcome speech. Dr. Preethi  Kuttippulakkal,  Associate professor and HOD Department of Mathematics Calicut University has delivered keynote address.

 

There were 2 sessions on 28-02-2020. The first session was on" Vedic  Mathematics”Paving the way for future” by Shri.A.B.Ramaprasad,Vice Principal, Vyasa Vidya Peethom Senior Secondary School,Kallekkad,Palakkad. The Second session was “Basic operations through NIKHILAM method and URDHAVA multiplication method” taken by Smt.Dhavamani, Asst.Professor, HOD Departement of Mathematics, SNG College,Coimbatore. The third session was      Vedic prosody and Mathematics” by Dr. K.K Geeta Kumari, Professor and HOD, Department of Sanskrit, Calicut University.

The second day (29-02-2022), the first session was conducted by Sri. Unnikrishnan Assistant professor, Department of Statistics, Shri Achutha Menon Government College, Thrissur on the topic "Kadapayadiyum Kalagananayum". The second session was taken by Sri. Sreekumar Bhat, senior SRG on the topic “Operations in Vedic Mathematics”.

The valedictory function was inaugurated by Sri. K. Mohankumar, Vedic Mayhematics Pramukh, Vidya Bharati Dakshina Kshetra. We have honored   Dr. V. Balakrishna Panickar, and Sri. K Vijayaraghavan who were the great Aacharyas in mathematics. Seminar coordinator Smt. Asa. P has delivered vote of thanks.

The program was highly structured and informative. It helped to encourage the delegates in learning Vedic Mathematics and to inculcate interest in ancient Indian culture.
